Ahmedabad: The Vande Bharat express train finished the distance of 491 kilometers from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in 5.14 hours during the trail run yesterday.

The train departed from Ahmedabad’s Kalupur railway station at 7.05 am and reached Mumbai at 12.19 pm. Then, the train took 5.04 hours to return to Ahmedabad from Mumbai. It departed from Mumbai at 1.08 pm and reached Ahmedabad at 6.12 pm.

The trial run of the first Vande Bharat Express by the Western Railway and the third of the country was held yesterday, 9th September,2022. The speed was 130 km per hour during the trial run. The train is likely to start operating from the Navaratri festival.

The train has a capacity of 1128 passengers. It has facilities such as an information system, CCTV camera, automatic sliding door, smoke detection alarm, and so on. The train seats can turn 180 degrees. The train is fully air-conditioned with semi-automatic AC.
